Why in the world are Facebook games so popular? Everywhere you look on the world’s number one social network, there are invites from friends to join them in this or that Facebook game. Plenty of people don’t even set the game apps to not post every single thing they do in game on their Wall. My auntie in Tacoma, for example, gives the entire interested public the complete play by play of every item she finds, gives, or receives in Farmville (Zynga) and she never hesitates to send requests through the app to as many friends as she can check off in the boxes for invitations. I once tried gently thanking her for an invite, explaining that I don’t play any of the games. She seemed to get it, and I didn’t get another invite for at least three days. But then it all started back up again and now I get them every day.
